Carnival Vista's Family Harbor Lounge

I just got off of the Carnival Vista and was able to stay in the Family Harbor area located on deck 2. There were several different types of rooms in this section but we were in a balcony cabin.  The balconies are nice and breezy, and occasionally I could feel the salt water splash up, which made me feel even closer to the water.  For anyone who has cruised Carnival before, the Family Harbor staterooms are about the same size as regular cabins, but they do have the perk of the Family Harbor Lounge.

The Family Harbor Lounge (tour below). The lounge is exclusive to Family Harbor guests and is accessed by key-card. Some of the features of the area are 24-hour access to a warm drink machine that includes lattes, hot chocolate and espresso, along with other choices, continental breakfast in the mornings, snack time starting around 3pm, and cookies and milk at night. Also in the lounge are video and board games and a television, which made the area somewhat busy during sea days and in the afternoon around snack time. Breakfast on port days and snack time most days there were a few people, but on port days it was mostly empty in the afternoons, making it a quiet place to sit while other members of your party are napping, etc. I would recommend booking in this area especially if you have small children or teens and like to be close to the anytime dining restaurant. Family Harbor was a very convenient area as we were only one floor below the Horizons restaurant and only a few floors below most of the other activities we were interested in, making them easily accessible by stairs. One downside was that it was very loud as our room was right under the cast areas and there were some kids running down the halls. Overall, my family was very happy with the area and are looking forward to staying in the Family Harbor again next year!
